Web development / UX / Project delivery

The technical foundation behind my digital marketing work.

Before digital marketing became the centre of my career, I spent several years building and maintaining websites.

That background still influences how I approach campaigns, landing pages, content and analytics. I understand how responsive layouts behave, what makes a CMS practical, where usability can break down and how technical constraints affect the final experience.

This is a focused selection of earlier projects. It explains the foundation I carry into my work today rather than positioning me primarily as a front-end developer.

Why the experience still matters

A marketing idea eventually needs to work within a page, form, campaign hub, article or wider website.

My technical background helps me understand that implementation layer and communicate effectively with designers and developers when specialist support is required. It also allows me to handle many practical website tasks directly, including content management, layout adjustments, testing, troubleshooting and optimisation.

Role
Front-End Development

The project

The IBL Group project involved the delivery of a large corporate website with numerous pages, visual components and interactive elements.

I implemented responsive layouts using HTML, CSS and JavaScript while following supplied designs and project requirements.

The technical challenge

One of the most demanding elements was a responsive mega menu containing graphic and animation elements. I used CSS and jQuery to create custom accordion behaviour, submenus, dropdowns and hover interactions.

What it demonstrates

Responsive implementation, custom interaction, large-site delivery and attention to detailed design requirements.

Role
Front-End Development

The project

The UBP website needed to present a substantial industrial product environment in a clear and engaging way.

I worked on the site layout using HTML, CSS and JavaScript while collaborating with designers and the wider project team.

The technical challenge

A key feature was a 360-degree product carousel that could autoplay as a sequence or be controlled by the visitor. I adapted an existing open-source library and added custom code using multiple frame images.

What it demonstrates

Custom front-end problem solving, interactive product presentation and collaboration across design and development.

Capgraph
Role
Project Management and Front-End Development

The project

Cypraea marked a transition from pure development into broader project responsibility. I managed the client relationship while also developing the site layout.

The challenge

The website included a custom product carousel, an interactive store-location map and mobile adaptation requirements.

I worked with the client to understand the requirements, shaped the project approach and adapted existing code where appropriate to deliver the required functionality.

What it demonstrates

Client communication, project ownership, custom functionality and practical technical decision-making.

Rockfin

Sector
Compliance and Financial Services
Project type
Freelance
Role
Project Management, UI and Website Development

The project

Rockfin required a professional corporate website within a tight timeframe, with limited content available at the beginning of the project.

I managed the work from initial direction through UI and website delivery, including support with the content structure.

The challenge

The website could not move directly into development because content, hierarchy and positioning were not ready.

I reviewed the sector, competitor context and existing brand to propose a clearer structure and practical content direction.

What it demonstrates

End-to-end ownership, content thinking, interface design and website delivery within a professional-services context.

Additional website experience

Other websites I developed or worked on include:

  • Blychem
  • Le Ruby
  • Vital
  • Providentia Asset Managers

My more recent website-management experience includes Cyberati Digital, Credentia International, Credentia Global and Doing Business in Mauritius.

From development to digital marketing

  1. Front-End Development
  2. Client and Project Ownership
  3. Digital Marketing
  4. Multi-Brand Digital Management

My career did not leave technology behind. It expanded around it.

That progression helps me consider the campaign, user journey, CMS, implementation and analytics as connected parts of the same digital experience.

What this work demonstrates

  • A practical foundation in web development
  • Responsive interface and usability experience
  • Work with WordPress, Drupal, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Custom front-end problem solving
  • Client communication and project ownership
  • The ability to connect website delivery with content and communication needs
